On September 8th, 2016 Hardee’s of Selma, AL hosted a Spirit Day for the Alzheimer’s & Autism Outreach Group. The event was a huge success and brought awareness to their deserving cause. The community, school, and local organizations showed their support by coming by Hardee’s throughout the day to eat and contribute their part to this fundraising event. The local radio station Dixie Country was on site to provide giveaways for those supporting the event and also interviewed several members that are associated with this great organization. In addition, there was a Search and Rescue drone demonstration at the location.
The AOG is a Project L member organization with a mission to provide support and funding for technology that will protect and locate “At Risk” individuals who are prone to the life threatening behavior of wandering.
This advocacy organization is unique in that it helps to coordinate the funding throughout the state of Alabama for families and caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementia related conditions.
