The Montgomery Market recently held their annual biscuit bake off. The best of the best biscuit cooks for the market competed in the event. The top performing biscuit cook was Javaris Delbridge representing Atlanta Hwy Hardee’s in Montgomery, AL. Javaris has competed 2 years in this event and continues to excel at the standards.
After the competition, all the participants were treated to a celebration dinner at a local restaurant. For achieving District Level Winner status, they were each awarded a $300 bonus. The overall winner, Javaris, was awarded an $800 bonus for his outstanding commitment to standards and quality for Hardee’s Made from Scratch Biscuits.
Paradigm Hardee’s in Arab, Alabama hosted a Christmas in Arab Event on December 17th. It was definitely a community event. The store had a very festive décor for the kids. There were many activities to include photos with Santa, hot chocolate and cookies, Hardee’s coloring sheets, and face painting. Over 500 kids and families came out throughout the day.
Several partners in the community also participated. The fire department brought out the fire truck for the kids to see and have photos made on. The members of the GOA, Guardians of the Abused Organization, volunteered to assist with the kid’s activities. The organization also brought out their show cars and motorcycles for viewing.
The families had a fantastic time, but above all the store helped gather over 700 can good items for the TESA Arab Food Bank and more than 100 toys for the Life Point Community Services. The Arab Hardee’s Elves did an awesome job and have ensured that families in the community are going to have a better Christmas because of them!
Hardee’s of Opp, Alabama held a Hot Chocolate & Cookies with Santa on December 10th for the community. Kids and families came and enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies. They visited Santa Clause and took pictures. There were also Hardee’s coloring sheets and Christmas stationary to write letters to Santa.
The families enjoyed the festive environment provided by all the Hardee’s elves who served up some great lunch for them during their visit!
Several Hardee’s locations in Montgomery, Alabama supported the Salvation Army Angel Tree Project 2016 promoted by WSFA. This year the Salvation Army worked toward collecting donated gifts for 150 children. Paradigm Hardee’s has been a proud supporter of The Angel Tree Project for many years. The customers are always very generous in purchasing gifs for the children they select from the angel trees. This year was no different. Guests gave and gave to ensure happy children on Christmas.
There was a terrific attendance December 5th for the Coffee with an Officer at Fort Payne Hardee’s®. There were approximately 37 officers to attend and be served breakfast. Several officers have been on the force for over 20 years. Other officers in attendance have been in service less than a year. In addition, Sherriff Jimmy Harris attended. He has been in place in Dekalb county since 1989. He has 128 employees with his department. Both the city and the county were very appreciative of this event held in their honor. One statement made by an officer was that this was the first time anything similar to this has been done for the officers.
Many guests stopped by just to shake hands with the officers and have breakfast. Hardee’s representatives from the area were there to honor the officers. Guests and officers registered for several giveaways that day. The restaurant was decorated in appreciation for the service these men and women provide the community. Overall, the community and Hardee’s showed true appreciation and respect for the officers and their daily service.
